Baloch tribes of the Saraiki Waseb – by Farooq Miana

Baloch people form a large portion of the whole population of Seraiki wasaib. They are found in considerable numbers in all Seraiki districts. They dwell both in cities and villages. All though some are big landlords and occupy large areas through out Seraiki Wasaib. But they no longer hold compact territories exclusively as their own. They have lost their language and speak Seraiki as a native language, they have been settled and assimilated in Seraiki culture and has little to do with Baloch tribes of Balochistan. Balochs of Seraiki wasaib can hardly be distinguished from other people of Seraiki Wasaib. One would not know about their caste unless revealed by themselves. These Balochs own no allegiance to any tribal Chief, are altogether external to political organization of the tribes of Baluchistan and don’t hold any dominant position among their neighbors which is enjoyed by the organized tribes of Dera Ghazi Khan. However Baloch tribes residing in Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur and Rojhan still have lot of Baloch traditions and some of them still speak Balochi language

Balochs Of Dera Ismail Khan, Bhakkar, Layyah

The Balochs started settling in Seraiki wasaib about the middle of 15th century. Prior to this they had spread as north as the Bolan, but had not yet encroached upon the Suleman range which lay east to them and which was held by the Pathans, while a Jat population occupied the valley of Indus and the country between the Suleman and the river. The area was called Makalwad but later on this term went out of usage and Daman was used which still is used for this area.

By the middle of 15th century the Brahoi, a tribe believed to be of Dravidian origin, drove the Balochs out of the fertile valley of Kelat and established supremacy over their northern tribes. These Baloch tribes moved east ward into lower Sulemans driving the Pathans before them along the range. Many of these latter took service with the Langah rulers of Multan and were granted lands along the river. About 1480 A.D Ismail Khan and Fateh Khan two sons of Malik Sohrab Khan and Ghazi Khan son of Haji Khan all Dodais of Rind extraction founded three Deras, Namely Dera Ghazi Khan, Dera Ismail Khan and Dera Fatah Khan.

The tribal name of Dodai disappeared, because leaders were of different tribe from their followers, the representatives and tribesmen of Ghazi Khan were locally called Mihrani, those of Ismail Khan as Hot and those of Fatah Khan as Kulachi.

With Ghazi Khan came the Jiskani Balochs, who occupied Cis-Indus tract above Bakkar, while with Hots came Korai. At the zenith of their power the Hot, Korai, Mirani, and Jiskani held sway over almost the whole Damaan and Thal. During the later half of 16th century Daud Khan a Jiskani and descendants of one Ghazi Khan Followers moved southwards and captured the greater part of Layyah. Emperor Akbar dispersed his tribe, but early in 17th century the independence of the Jiskani under Baloch Khan was recognized and it is from Baloch Khan that the Jiskani, Mandrani, Mamdani, Sargani, Kandani and Muliani, who still live in Bhakkar and Layyah Districts, trace their descent. In about 1750-1770 A.D Mihrani (people of Ghazi Khan) who sided with the Kalhoras or Sarais of Sindh in their struggle against Ahmed Shah Durrani, were driven out of Dera Ghazi Khan by Jiskani. (About the same time the Hots were over thrown after a desperate struggle by the Gandapur Pathans

The Balochs of Dera Ismail Khan are scattered through out the Districts and its tehsils of Paharpur, Kulachi and Darabun, they don’t have any political or administrative unity the tribal tie is merely that of common descent and these tribes possess no corporate coherence. None of these tribes speaks Balochi language nor has any life style similarity with Baloch tribes of Balochistan. The Baloch tribes of Layyah, Bhakkar and Dera Ismail Khan have been absorbed in local culture; they intermingle and intermarry with Jats and other castes. The principal Baloch tribes of Dera Ismail Khan, Layyah and Bhakkar are Lashari, Kulachi and Jiskani, after them come the Rind, the Laghari, the Jatoi, the Korai, the Chandia, the Hot, the Gurmani, the Petafi, the Gashkori and the Mirani. The Petafis are found only in Dera Ismail Khan, they are confined to Parao area and the principal village in which they are in majority is Hazara.

Organized Baloch Tribes of Dera Ghazi Khan, Rojhan and Rajanpur Region

The Balochs of Dera Ghazi Khan, Rohjan and Rajanpur region are the only Seraiki Balochs which have retained distinct tribal and political organization. The Dera Ghazi Khan tribes are in the main of Rind origin. They include, beginning from south Mazari, Drishak, Gurchani, Tibbi Lund, Laghari, Khetran, Khosa, Sori Lund, Bozdar, Qasarani and Nutkani.

Mazaris: – The Mazaris are practically found only in Rajanpur. This city is the Capital Seat of the Mazari Baloch tribe who has held this territory since 1632 A.D. Prior to this the Mazari Tribe was settled in the Bambhore Hills of present day Kahan in Balochistan. The original city of Rojhan, situated a few kilometers from the present city, was burnt by the Sikh invaders under the command of Raja Kharak Singh. The Present City was constructed during the reign of the famous Mazari Chief, Nawab Sir Imam Buksh Khan Mazari during the early and middle part of the 1800s. The word ‘rojhan’ traces its roots back to the ancient Babalonyian and Caspatic languages of the Indo-European language family, meaning the ‘City of Tents’. The City is a site to many ancient yet beautiful tombs of the Mazari Nawabs and Sardars dating as back as the 17th Century.

The Drishak:- They came down to land towards The Drishaks are the most scattered of all the Dera Ghazi Khan their villages are surrounded by villages of Jats and other indigenous people. They own no portion of the hills and are practically confined to Dera Ghazi Khan District. Its principal sections are Kirmani, Mingwani, Gulfaz, Sargani, and. Arbani

The Gurchani: – They own Mari and Darugal Hills, They are divided into Eleven Clans, of which chief are the Durkani, Shekhani, Lashari, Petafi, Jiskani, and Sibzani

The Tibbi Lund: – They are confined to Dera Ghazi Khan district, where they occupy small area in the midst of Gurchani country.

The Laghari: – The Leghari Baloch tribe is one of the largest of Baloch tribes. The Leghari baloch are pure “Rind Baloch”. They are divided into four clans, the Haddiani, Aliani, Bughlani and Haibatani. Their headquarters are at Choti Zerin, where they are said to have settled after their return from accompanying with Hamayun, expelling the Ahmadanis who then held the present Laghari country.

The Legharis are also found in Dera Ismail Khan and Muzaffargarh but don’t owe alligeance to the tribe. The Talpur dynasty of Sindh belonged to this tribe and there still is a considerable population of Laghari tribe in Sindh.

The Khetran: – The Khetran hold territory on the back of Laghari, Khosa and Lund country. Their original settlemet was at Vahoa, where many of them still live and hold land between the Qasarani and the River.

Khetrans are certainly not pure Baloch, and held by many to be Pathans, descended from Miana, brother of Tarin. Where as other think them to be a remunant of the original Jat population all of them speak Seraiki. However they confessdly resemble the Balochs in features, habits and general appearance, the name of their septs end in the Baloch patronymie termination “dni”. They are the least warlike of all the Baloch tribes of this region, capital cultivatorsa and in consequence exceedingly wealthy.

The Khosas: – Major Pullock “It is rare to find a Khosa who has not been in prison for cattle-stealing or deserved to be and a Khosa who has not committed a murder or debauched his neighbor’s wife or destroyed his neighbor’s landmark is decidedly a creditable specimen”.

They occupy the country between the Laghari and the Qasrani, their territory being divided into northern and southern portion by the territory of Lunds In Seraiki Wasaib, outside Dera Ghazi Khan they are found in Bahawalpur. They hold extensive lands in Sindh, which were granted to them by Empror Humayun for military service. Khosas are admitted to be among the bravest of the Balochs. They are true Rind and are divided into six clans, namely Babelani, Isani, Jaggel, Jaudani, Jarwar and Mahrwani.

The Sori Lund: – This is a small tribe. Their territory divides that of Khosas into to two parts and extends to the bank of River Indus. They are not pure Baloches and are divided into five clans the Hadarani, Bakrani, Zariana, Garzwani, Nuhani.

The Buzdars: – These live in scattered villages about Rajanpur and among Laghari tribe. The Buzdars are of Rind extraction and are divided into Dulani, Ghulamani, Chakrani, Sihani, Shahwani, Jalalani and Rustamani clan.

The Qasarani: – They are settled on the territory lying on either side of the boundary between Dera Ismail Khan and Dera Ghazi Khan. The tribe is poor one and is divided into seven clans the Lashkarani, Khubdin, Budhani, Vaswani, Jarwar and Rustamani. They are of Rind origin and found in Seraiki wasaib in the area mentioned above

The Nutkani: – This is tribe peculiar to Dera Ghazi Khan; it holds a territory stretching east ward to the Indus and between the Northern Khosa and the Qasrani. This tribe was brutally crushed out of tribal existence in early days of Ranjit Singh’s rule.

Other Less Important Baloch Tribes of Dera Ghazi Khan Include Gopang, Lashari, Gurmani, Mastoi, Hahani, Sanjraniand Ahmadani. These all lie scattered along the edge of the Indus and spoeak Seraiki and have been completely assimilated to Seraiki culture.

Balochs of Multan and Muzaffargarh Region

Like Balochs of Dera Ismail Khan, Bakhar and Layyah, Balochs in Multan and Muzzafargarh have adopted the local culture and language and have lost their Baloch habits and characteristics long ago. The reason doubtless is that this is the centre of Seraiki power and assimilating forces here are more potent then any where else. The important Baloch tribes of this region are the Gopang, the Chandia, the Rind, the Jatoi, the Korai, the Laghari, Lashari, and the Hot, the Chandias, the Khosas and the Dasti.

Balochs of Bahawalpur, Rahimyarkhan and Sadiqabad Region

Balochs of Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan and Sadiqabad have been assimilated to Seraiki culture by all means and show now resemblance with Balochs. These tribes include Gopang, the Chandias, the Khosas, the Dasti, the Lashari, the Laghari, the Jataoi and the Mazari.

The Gopnags are mostly found in Khanpur, Khosas in Allahabad and Rahimyar Khan. Dasti Balochs mostly live in Sadiqabad and Khanpur. The Jatois settled in Bahawalpur during the times of Nawab Bahawal Khan III. They showed lot of bravery during wars and thus Nawab gave away huge land to them in Uch. The Mazaris settled in Bahawalpur on the invitation of Nawab Sadiq Muhammad Khan IV and were given land and Sadiqabad. Laghari Baloch also came at the same time and received huge chunks of agricultural lands.

Baloch Tribes of Ravi, Upper Jehlum and Chanab

The Baloch tribes of the Ravi are found in bar of the Montgomery and Jhang districts. They used to breed camels here and held little land as cultivators. They consisted mostly of Jataoi and Rind. They probably are descendants of the men who under Mir Chakkar accompanied Humayun and received a grant of Land in Montgomery in return for their service. In Jhang and Sargodha districts on the Jehlum and the right bank of Chenab, the principal tribes to be found are the Rind, the Jataoi, the Lashari and the Korai.

    Not to speak of the sub-tribes of Rajpoots and Jats like khars, khukawars, langs, maitlas, Manhes and Kichhis, even dasti, khosa, leghari, mazari, chandia, gabol, jatoi etc. are the sub-tribes of the major ethnic Baloch tribes, whom you implied towards…aren’t they…??? Besides the major tribes of Jats, Rajpoots and Balochs; many other major tribes like Gujar, Arain, Awan different ethnic Pathan tribes like Niazi, wardag are living permanently across the Punjab from south to central and central to upper Punjab and even beyond the natural geographical boundaries of Punjab and many of them live in Sindh and Pashtoonkwa(Indus valley) being the vital part of those Sindhi and Pashtoon nations…I would love to quote here some of the personalities like Waqar Younas, who is Matla jat from Burewala and his grandfather belonged to Sialkot, the sole lion of Punjab Malik Gulam Mustafa Khar’s family claims to be the relatives of Mirza Jat and Khawaja Noor Mohammad Mehrvi, Similarly Mukhtara Mai from Muzafargarh is a Gujar like (Mian Mohammad Buksh a Gujjar Punabi saint/poet) and who could deny that Gujars live across the Punjab, Molana Abduallah Darkhawasti an Arain from Rahim Yar Khan like Shah Inayat Arian, whom Bulla (Bullay Shah of Kasoor) claimed to be his spiritual father, Khawaj Khan Mohammad of Kundia Sharif (Mianwali) was a talukar Jat and Molana Obaidullah Sindh was an uppal Jat from Sialkot, and Mumtaz Baloch(Rind) a great Punjabi poet belongs to Sargodha and Talib Jatoi also one of great Punjabi poet from Sahiwal last but not least the great Chakar-e-Azam (a Baloch) is resting in peace in the district Okara and his whole present generation owns and speaks which language and culture…??? It is Punjabi…isn’t it??? If Taj Langa from Multan (contrary to the other Langas permanently living in Kasur, Sheikhupura, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Jhelum, Sargodha, Chinnot, Jhang) in spite being a Jat wants to be the part of some coined so-called Saraiki nation at the behest of racist Urdu speaking mafia’s controlled establishment in hope of some pennies, fame, power etc; but at the same time another Jat Nazeer Kahut from Sargodha is not ready to compromise over his principle stance of securing every inch of his mother land and promoting his mother tongue purely, voluntarily and passionately in order to seek linguistic/cultural, financial and political rights of not only Punjabis from Sadiqabad to Attock but also Sindhi, Pathan and Baloch brothers…! I haven’t mentioned all the same tribes and their sub-tribes living in the divided east Indian occupied Punjab just to avoid further lengthiness….Crux of the very simple matter is that any Baloch, Pashtoon, Arab, Turk etc ethnicity either settled in Sindh, Balochistan, Pashtoonkhwa or Punjab centuries ago and assimilated in the languages and cultures of the both lands of all the above four described regions, have turned the integral part of all Sindhi, Baloch, Pashtton and Punjabi nations according to the universally accepted/set principles…Similarly as many tribes across this federation or in other parts of world when migrated to some other regions and merged in the new regions having owned the lands’ language and culture, were/are called and accepted the integral part of that nation/land/region, where they decided to live and die…!

    Let me elaborate here that 5th columnist sort of stupid innocent looking 5th columnists know each and every truth very well even more than us, but like central and upper/northern Punjabis they are attempting to find their salvation in those un-natural coined “Saraiki, Pakistani or Potohari identities in order to get rid of nature’s blessed ‘Punjabi’ title, which have been turned into a stigma due to the ill deeds of the Punjabi establishment/ruling exploiters’ and criminal negligence of all Punjabi masses towards disowning their rich language and culture at the cost of aping an alien language Urdu…So because of the psychological reasons of fear every southern, central and upper Punjabi now want to vindicate from the disgraced Punjabi title, that’s why they desperately intend to get asylum in Saraikiat, Pakistaniat and Potohariat (rather the nature’s blessed genuine title ‘Punjabi’) in order to avoid the very right charges on all Punjabis by all nations (Bangalis, Pathans, Sindhis & Balochs) of this federation, which have been leveled against Punjabi masses due to their sheer criminal ignorance towards the cognizance of the notion of religion(Islam), disowning of nature’s blessed Punjabi language by aping an alien language(Urdu) and concept of nation(Pakistani)…Consequently the dishonest and greedy ‘Punjabi ruling mafia/establishment’ (politicians of south, civil bureaucracy of central and army of upper Punjab) in nexus with racist cunning hyenas of Ganga Jamna have been capitalizing from the situation and have been plundering, exploiting and ruling all the Punjabi, Pathan, Sindhi and Baloch nations on the misused name of religion, abstract Pakistani nation and holy declared title of Urdu since the emergence of this federation…Now the same nexus of evils using the fear of the psychos like Malik Saleem etc. in order to get another leverage to carry on financial & political exploitation of all the said 4 nations by abetting and supporting them to carve more and more pseudo-nations within the most vulnerable unit/region of this federation Punjab (as has been described, due to Punjabi masses unconcerned attitude towards their language, land and culture) either in the case of more and more divisions of only Punjab finally to get a pretty edge over other 3 Sindhi, Pashtoon and Baloch nations in the center/Islamabad by seeking more seats in senate for each divided unit on the basis/formula of parity eventually to fulfill their infinite ulterior motives (for instance the building of Kalabagh dam)…OR in other case after the divisions of Punjab they may divide all other 3 nations one by one ultimately to diffuse and subvert the genuine 4 nations(Sindhis, Pathans, Balochs and Punjabis) struggle for their fundamental right having created a conundrum sort of situation for an ordinary person(particularly among goofy Punjabi masses vis-à-vis the theory of nation by fueling the already projected misleading campaign that ‘LISANIAT AUR SOBAIAT PAKISTANI KOM KAY LEEAY ZAHAR HA’)having peripheral approach towards analyzing and figuring out the actual plot…So that the majority of the masses of this federation may turn desperate again and seek refuge again in a virtual/hypothetical fake Pakistaniat, and the exploiters’ mafia may linger on their looting…

    But at the same time yet, there is immense hope in Sindhis, Pathans and specifically Balochs, who could easily identify the actual culprits and have been struggling for their rights…and we few Punjabis are completely with them in their legitimate struggle…If Malik Saleem and his accomplices continuously want to live in the state of denial due the state/establishment sponsored power being provided to them in terms of the most powerful tool (media) of now a days , which has been completely given in their mercenaries’ control in order to pave a way to accomplish the above described conspiracy either of the division of 4 genuine nations one by one OR only to divide Punjab to give a huge/absolute edge to the Punjabi establishment over other un-divided units/regions/provinces of this federation…This is purely an un-constitutional and undemocratic move of the ‘Punjabi establishment’ to create pseudo-nations within genuine nations or creating un-natural states within genuine states just to weaken the all 4 genuine nations… but they should remember they might make fool some people for some time, yet the prudent and dignified Sindhis, Pathans and Balochs could never ever get trapped in their new maneuvering…! If someone among the so-called newly created/coined nations like Saraikis/in fact the Southern Punjabis don’t believe in me, he/they should pay a visit to Pashtoonkhwa, Sindh or particularly Balochistan and prove their newly establishment given Saraiki identity before ordinary Sindhis, Pathans or Balochs (like the Balochs of BLA, BRA instead of establishment’s designed PONAM); I am dead sure their families would get the irrefutable evidence in terms of their carcasses…Because they can’t disguise the well aware Sindhi, Pathan and Baloch masses by concealing their actual Punjabi identity by putting the establishment’s given masks of Saraiki, Potohari, Pakistani etc…! So any attempt to divide Sindh, Pakhtoonkhwa, Balochistan or Punjab would be countered with full force…as far as the boundaries of the said four nations’ regions are concerned, we all four genuine Sindhi, Pakhtoon, Baloch and Punjabi nations would amicably resolve it by sitting together through dialogue…but won’t let any 5th columnist among us capitalize from our differences in terms of creating any state within any states of the said four nations…

    khan is not for pashtuns only. Khan is a central/ south west asian title for nobility. Baloch start using it as last name after they gathered enough to established their own dynasties in late 15th century first in central and later in eastern Balochistan.{Pakistani}

    I appreciate the writer who wrote about Baloch tribes of Dera Ghazi Khan . This land of baloch tribes has its own history and was never a part of any other waseeb and was included in Punjab to devid baloch land for the reseason which is known by every one, and the nabors of these tribes were used to speak language which is called saraki. The saraiki is not language of any Waseeb this was spoken both side of Sind River . But This was/is the language Bahawalpur state.
    Please dont confuse baloch in the saraiki both are very different in all manners.

    Other Less Important Baloch Tribes of Dera Ghazi Khan Include Gopang, Lashari, Gurmani, Mastoi, Hahani, Sanjraniand Ahmadani. These all lie scattered along the edge of the Indus and spoeak Seraiki and have been completely assimilated to Seraiki culture.

      • I did more research on this and it is true that babbar and jamali were brothers. Babbars are pure baloch tribe which is also settled in sindh , south punjab.It originally came from Jaffarabad, Balochistan.Some are still settled in Balochistan.

No one mentioned about Hanbhi tirbe of Balochistan and sindh,this tribe is found in three privinces like Balochistan Sindh and Punjab.They speak Saraik and,Balochi have language,their culture and living pattern depicts that they are the part of lashari (Rind),some say that they are sub clan of Zardari. Though they have no prominent sardar so thier identity is not clear. This tribe adjust them in different sects of phutons,Balochis and jamoots.     Qaisrani tribe is divided into seven section: Khobdain, Rubdani, Yarwani, Lashkarani, Wasuani, Lagari, and Rustmani. Which are further divided into 42 clans. The Dilshadani family of the Khobdein section has been the chief family for the last ten generations.Qaisranis are one of the prominent Baloch tribes residing and settled mainly in the D G Khan District of Punjab, Musakhel Balochistan and D I Khan in NWFP. According to last population census, the Qaisranis are a main stream baloch tribe populating around 175,000. Some of the clans reside in the D G Khan Tribal Area having its provincial borders with NWFP and Balochistan. Qaisranis trace back their history from one Qaiser Khan who was one of the nephew of Sardar Mir Chakar Khan Rind(1468 – 1565 ) who was a Baloch King in the 15th century. Mir Chakar Khan founded a kingdom which however proved to be short-lived because of a civil war between the Lashari and Rind tribes of Balochistan. Mir Chakar Khan Rind gave a strong support to the Mughal army of Emperor Humayun and was rewarded by Humayun after his reconquest to the throne in 1555.

    Mir Chakar Khan Rind lived in Sevi (modern time Sibi) in hills of Balochistan and became the head of Rind tribe after the death of his father Mir Shahak Khan at the age of 18. Mir Chakar Khan Rind is regarded as one of the great Baloch heroes and is the center of Balochi love and war ballad. A natural leader and warrior, Mir Chakar Khan Rind was a man with resolute determination.

    When Mir Chakar started his conquest towards Punjab, some of the elders of the Rind Tribe established and settled alongside the River Indus and the Koh e Suleman Range covering the entire Western border of Punjab. These elders were all Rind Baloch and later became the founding members of the current tribes i.e. the Legharis, Mazaris, Khosas, Qaisranis, Dareshaks, Gurchanis, Buzdars. The elder Qaiser Khan Rind, from where the Qaisrani Tribe segregates from the mainstream Rind tribe was a warrior and known to be the bravest amongst the then elders of Rind Baloch Tribe. After Mir Qaiser Khan, the tribal traditional system of Sardarism continued throughout the years of history. These tribals used to have an elected Chief, the Sardar of the tribe as per their traditional systems of Muqadamins and Jirgas until the advent of British, who somehow maneuvered to control these Tribals by introducing the system of hereditary title for the Chief. Whenever a Chief died, his elder son was crowned as the Chief of Tribe. The British had established Chiefs College specifically for these sons of existing Chiefs of Baloch, Punjabi, Sindhi and Pakhtoon Tribes to induce a blend of British allegiance right from the childhood.

    Qaisranis were the only baloch tribe in District D G Khan and Rajanpur which resisted and fought against the British to safeguard their culture, traditions and allegiance to the soil. Sardar Mir Mitha Khan Qaisrani was the last elected Chief of the Qaisrani Tribe. Sardar Mir Kaura Khan of Tibbi Qaisrani was another heroic figure of his time. After Mitha Khan, his son Sardar Mir Fazal Ali Khan was made chief of tribe. Sardar Mir Fazal Ali Khan lived a long life, had seven wives and five sons. The eldest son was Sardar Mir Allah Bakhsh Khan Qaisrani but he died in his life and his son named Sardar Mir Mehmood Khan Qaisrani was made chief by the British. Sardar Mir Mehmood Khan was later impeached by the tribe and the British and the second eldest son of Sardar Mir Fazal Ali Khan i.e. Sardar Imam Bakhsh Khan Qaisrani was crowned as chief by the British. During the life of Sardar Imam Baksh Khan, his elder son Sardar Shamsher khan died leaving one son Mir Manzoor Ahmed Khan who was then just two years old.Thus, Sardar Mir Muhammad Khan Qaisrani, son of Sardar Mir Imam Baksh Khan was crowned as Chief and Tumandar. Sardar Mir Mohammad Khan had two wives and five sons. During his time, the Qaisrani tribe was re-organised to regain its lost strength and dignity. He was given the title of “Khan Bahadur” by the British. He was one of the most prominent member of Joint Jirga of Baloch Sardars headed by Khan of Kalat and was well known amongst the other Baloch tribal chiefs including Bugti, Marri and Mazari. Sardar Ameer Muhammad Khan Qaisrani was the last official and recognized Chief of Qaisrani Tribe since in 1974 Z.A. Bhutto abolished the system of Sardarism and Tumandaarism. After the abolishing of Sardarism in 1974, Sardar Ameer Muhammad Khan instead of crowning any of his son as Chief opted to crown his nephew and his son in law, Sardar Manzoor Ahmed Khan as Chief of Qaisrani tribe. After the death of Sardar Manzoor Ahmed Khan, his son Sardar Zahoor Ahmed Khan became Chief of Qaisrani tribe and currently the tribe is split between tribal leadership of Sardar Mir Badshah Qaisrani, the grandson of Sardar Manzoor Ahmed Qaisrani, and Barrister Sardar Imam Baksh Qaisrani, the grandson of Sardar Ameer Muhammad Qaisrani, both considered as Chiefs of Qaisrani Tribe. Despite the fact that Sardar Meer Badshah Qaisrani has a political edge since he is Member of Provincial Assembly and has defeated Sardar Imam Baksh Qaisrani in General Elections, still in the tribal capacity, Sardar Imam Baksh Qaisrani holds the majority of Sub-Clans of Qaisrani Tribe in his support.The other prominent personalities of the Kot Qaisrani were Khan Bahadur Muhammad Yar Khan Qaisrani, who was an Assistant Commissioner in government of British India. His son Khan Bahadur[Awarded in 1946] Khan Sahib Muhammad Nawaz Khan Qaisrani served in I.C.S and served the government of Pakistan as Political Agent in Waziristan and Khyber Agency. Brigadier Arshad Hussain Qaisrani son of Major Muhammad Hussain Qaisrani [late] (both of the Guides Infantry / Corps of Guides) also served the nation in Pakistan Army.

    • بلوچ کا اوریجنل تعلق عمان کا علاقہ ہے جیسے عربی محقق کہتے ہیں بلوچ کا تعلق عرب سرزمین سے ہے اگر ایسا ہے یقیناً ایسا ھی ہو گا تو دیکھنا یہ ہے عربی کے اندر گ ، چ ، سرائیکی کا ٻ ، سرائیکی والا ڳ ، سرائیکی کا ݨ ، سرائیکی کا ڈ ، ڈ ، سرائیکی ڄ ، اور دوسری تمام کاسٹیں جنکا تعلق عربی حروف تہجی سے نہیں ہے وہ کیسے بلوچ ھونے کا دعویٰ کر سکتی ہے ۔؟ میں یہاں پر عربی محققین کی ریسرچ پر ممبنی ویڈیو سینڈ کر رہا ہوں عربی زبان سے دلچسبی رکھنے والے دوست بھی دیکھ اور سن لیں پھر ایسی کوئی رائے قائم کریں ۔ میرے خیال میں جیسے بروہی کے اکثر قبائل کو بلوچی بتایا جاتا ہے ایسا زبردستی ہوتا ہے زبردستی کیا جاتا ہے کہیں ایسا تو نہیں ؟ ویسے ھی سرائیکی کے اکثر قبائل کو بلوچ بتا کر انکی شناخت کو مسخ کیا جاتا ہے ۔ ہم دیکھتے ہیں بروہی کے اکثر قبائل جنکا تعلق خالص بروہی قوم سے ہے بروہی کو زبان لکھ کر ان بروہی قبائل کی نفی کر کے ان پر زبردستی بلوچ ہونے کا ٹھپہ لگا دیا جاتا ہے تو کیا سرائیکی وہ قبائل جو سرائیکی زبان کے حروف سے شروع ہوتے ہیں یا جن کاسٹوں کے شروع میں یا جن کاسٹوں کے اخر میں یا بیچ میں کسی جگہ سرائیکی ، سندھی حروف لگتے ہیں وہ کاسٹیں جبری انتقال قومیت کا شکار تو نہیں ؟ جیسے بروہی کاسٹوں پر جبری انتقال قومیت مسلط کر دیا گیا ہے ؟ تو کیا سرائیکی کاسٹیں بھی جبری انتقال قومیت کا شکار تو نہیں ؟ کیونکہ ان کاسٹوں کے لوگ ناصرف سرائیکی بولتے ہیں بلکہ سرائیکی کلچر اور سرائیکی تہذیب کا حصہ ہیں جیسے گزٹ بہاولپور کے صفہ نمبر 420 میں سومرہ نے گورچانی کی بنیاد رکھی تھی اب سومرہ کو سرائیکی سومرہ کے بجائے بلوچ لکھ کر اسکی شناخت کو مسخ کیا گیا ہے ۔ ہم سرائیکی بھی بروہی قوم کی کاسٹوں کی جبری انتقال قومیت کا شکار ہوئیے ہیں اپنی رائے قائم کرنے سے پہلے ہمیں بلوچوں کے اوریجنل روٹ تلاش کرنا چاہیے اور بلوچ عمان سے ایران کے راستے داخل ہوتے ہیں بلوچ بھی حملہ اور کی صورت میں داخل ہوا ہے پھر بلوچ نے بروہی قوم پر جسطرح جبری انتقال قومیت مسلط کیا ہے یہ جبری انتقال قومیت ہم دیکھ رہے ہیں اللہ نظر بروہی ، اختر مینگل ، مری وغیرہ بروہی ہونے کے باوجود بلوچ کی جبری انتقال قومیت کا شکار ہو گئے ہیں جبری انتقال قومیت مسلط کر دیا گیا تو سرائیکی کیسے بچ سکتے ہیں ؟ کہنے کا مقصد یہ ہے سرائیکی کے 30 فیصد قبائل بھی جبری انتقال قومیت کا شکار ہوئیے اس جبری انتقال قومیت ذریعے سرائیکی کو زبردستی بلوچ لکھ دیا گیا بڳٹی ، مڳسی ، گبول، گوپانگ ، میراݨی ، ۔ سیکھاݨی ,لنڈ اور دوسری انگنت کاسٹیں ہیں جو بلوچوں کی جبری انتقال قومیت کا شکار ہوئی ہیں

  46. حتمی رائے قائم کرنے سے پہلے سوچیں
    کسی بھی قسم کی حتمی رائے قائم کرنے سے پہلے دیکھنا یہ ہو گا غیر ملکی محققین نے بلوش بارے کیا حتمی رائے دی
    ہے ۔ موجودہ پاکستان کے جتنے بھی محقق ہیں وہ مبالغہ آمیزی میں ماہر ہیں ۔ پاکستان کے اندر جغرافیے پر قبضے کو ستحکم کرنے کیلئے بھی اسی طرح کا پروپیگنڈا کیا جاتا ہے ۔ بلوش یا بلوچ کا تعلق عمان سے ہے محمد درامکا انکا جد امجد ہے ۔ عرب محقق یہی کیتے ہیں کیونکہ بلوچ کا تعلق عرب سے ہے اس وجہ عرب محققین کی باتیں ٹھوس شواہد پر مبنی ہیں ۔ اب یہ دیکھنا ہو گا عربی زبان میں گ نہ ہونے کے باوجود گ” : بگٹی ، مگسی ، مینگل ” گبول کیسے بلوش کا حصہ ھو سکتے ہیں مینگل بروہی ہیں جنکو بلوش زبردستی جبری انتقال قومیت کے ذریعے بلوچ لکھتے ہیں ۔یہاں پر سیاست کا بھی بڑا دخل ہے بروہی سیاست میں داخل نہیں نہ ہیں بروہی قوم پرستی اس اسٹیج پر نہیں ہے جہاں پر بروہی اس قسم کے پروپیگنڈے کا جواب اسانی سے دے سکیں یاں اس گمراہ کن پروپیگنڈے کے خلاف مزاحمت کر سکیں اسی وجہ سے مینگل جبری انتقال قومیت کا شکار اسانی سے ہو گے ۔ دوسری طرف بگٹی ، بگسی ، گبول کے گھروں میں مادری زبان سرائیکی ہے انکے گھر کا کلچر بھی سرائیکی ہے بات وہی ہے جبری انتقال قومیت کا شکار ہوئیے ہیں جبری انقتال قومیت حملہ آور کا ہتھیار ہوتا ہے جبری انتقال قومیت کو حملہ آور ہتھیار کے طور پر استعمال کرتا ہے اور مقامی قبائل پر اپنی قومیت کا ٹھپہ لگا کر اسکو اپنی قومیت میں ضم کرنے کی کوششیں کی جاتی ہے ۔
    ٻ : سرائیکی کا حرف ہے اب ٻ یا ڄ سے شروع ہونے والی کاسٹیں یا نسلی گروہ کیسے خود کو بلوش کہ سکتے ہیں ؟ بات وہی ہے جب بلوچ ایران کے راستے داخل ہوا تھا تقریباً 350 سال پہلے داخل ہوا ہے ۔ کتنا بڑا گروہ داخل ہوا ھو گا ؟ اس کے اندر کتنے لوگ ہونگے کتنی مختلف کاسٹوں کے لوگ شامل ہونگے ؟ چلیں 500 سال فرض کر لیتے ہیں 500 سال کے عرصے میں کیسے بلوچوں کی کاسٹیں شیطان کی آنت کی طرح بڑ سکتی ہے یہ بات سماجی سائنس / معاشی سائنس / ،ثقافتی سائنس کے معیار پر پوری نہیں اُترتی پھر اپکے پاس متاثرہ فریق بروہی ہے اپ متاثرہ فریق بروہی کے مسخ شدہ چہرے کو سامنے رکھیں پھر صاف شفاف بات واضع ہو گی ۔ بروہی کا تعلق دراوڑی نسل سے بروہی زبان کے اندر دراوڑی الفاظوں کی بھرمار ہے مختلف محققین اور دانشوروں کی یہی رائے ہے پھر بلوچ جو عمان سے درآنداز ہوا ہے کیسے دراوڑ کی نسل سے ہو سکتا ہے ؟ یاں تو بروہی کا رشتہ دراوڑ سے نکال کر عرب نسل کر دیا جائے یا پھر عرب بلوش کا ڈی این اے معجزاتی طور پر دراوڑ ہو جائے پھر کہا جا سکتا ہے بروہی بلوچ ہیں یا پھر بلوچ ، بروہی ہے ویسے ایک سوال یہ بھی پیدا ہوتا ہے جس جذبہ خیر سگالی کے تحت بلوش ، بروہی کو اپنی قوم کا حصہ شمار کرتے ہیں اگر وہی جذبہ خیر سگالی بروہی دیکھائیں تو خود کو بلوش کہنے والو کا رد عمل کیا ہو گا ؟
    ڳ ، ڈ ، ڑ ، ݨ ، ڄ وغیرہ سے شروع ہونی والی کاسٹیں یا جن کاسٹوں میں یہ حروف شامل ہیں چاہے حروف بیچ میں ہوں یا آخر یا شروع میں ؟ یہ حروف عربی زبان کا حصہ نہیں بلوچی کے اندر عربی اثرات ہیں اسکے علاوہ بلوچی کے اندر سرائیکی کے بھی اثرات ہیں جس زبان کے اثرات ہونگے اسی زبان کا پلڑا بھاری ہو گا اسی زبان کی کاسٹیں ذاتیں اس زبان کا حصہ بنائی جا سکتی ہیں جنکے اثرات ہونگے لیکن یہاں پر معاملہ الٹ کیسے ہو گیا ؟ بلوچی کے اندر بامشکل 15/20 ھروف تہجی ہیں یہ بھی میں زیادہ لکھ بیٹھا ہوں ۔ اس معاملے کو لسانی / ثقافتی / جغرافیائی تناظر میں دیکھا ہو گا پھر یہ دیکھنا ہو گا بلوش اوریجنل روٹ کیا ہے کدھر سے ورد ہوا ہے وہاں کے معاشی /سماجی ، ثقافتی تناظر کو بھی دیکھنا ہو گا اسکے علاوہ بلوچ عمان کے اندر اکثریت میں ہیں عمان کے اندر جو کاسٹیں یا ذاتیں ہیں اسکا پاکستانی 70 فیصد کاسٹوں سے دور کا بھی واسطہ نہیں ہے اس وجہ سے کوئی بھی ہتمی رائے قائم کرنے پہلے ان حقائق کو دیکھیں جسکا تعلق معاش ، سماڄ ، اور جغرافیے سے ہے

  48. Sir you didn’t mention the Band Baloch tribe of Rahimyar khan and Muzzafargarh. Band Baloch are living in Makran and other part of Balochistan, Sindh particularly in Dadu district and other part of sindh and This tribe is also living in Rahimyar khan, Rajanpur, Muzzafargarh,layyah and Bakkar.

They speak Sindhi, Siraiki and Balochi as their languages depending on their neighbour.

Khaira also found in balochistan,sindh and Afghanistan.They also lived in dg khan and muzaffargarh and commonly writes khaira baloch or khero because not as a caste they writes it due to their belongs family members as they lives in eastern balochistan and some parts of Afghanistan as khaira mastoi and surani baloch.plz include it in baloch tribles.Baloch and saraiki are mostly have good relationship so we all are same no saraiki or balochi.I m a student of ue lahore i known here as a baloch because i love baloch saraiki sindhi and pakhton brothers.dg khan is part of saraikistan and balochistan.we should be no issue here as saraiki or balochi.plz

    • This Zarrani tribe has originated from the town of Korak in Western Balochistan. The Zarranis derive their name from their ancestor Zarra Han (Khan). Those among them who speak Balochi live in Iran and Oman.

  52. Zarani(zohrani) Baloch are majority in bhakkar and some of them DG Khan why not mentioned?
    And many zarani are populated in sindh haidar abad

  53. I have not seen any impressive work undertaken by Baloch. I found them finding for nothing. They have poor education and living in the marginal areas with no desire to change. Some of them are pushed back in the history and they do not realise the tribal society they want to live has no place in this age.
